SWIMMING AND PRESENTS !!!

Okay...this is going to be a picture blog....I hope you enjoy some pics from the swimming party. Also, we let Maegen open her presents last night even though we are going to Main Event on Saturday for cake and games. She just couldn't wait.

Just a brief note on this outfit that I bought Maegen. When she opened this gift she said "This looks like it came from Hawaii. Did you go to Hawaii and buy this ?" It doesn't read as funny as it actually was when she said it. She had so much disgust in her voice it was hilarious. We were all laughing and she didn't think it was funny and didn't know why we were laughing so hard. Okay..now when was I "gone" long enough from her to go all the way to Hawaii to buy a short set ??

Today is my nephew's 2nd birthday !!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY COOPER !!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAEGEN !!!

At exactly 5:56 pm this afternoon my "baby" will officially be 7 years old !!! Man how time seems to just pass by. She will be in the 2nd grade in August and it is just hard to imagine how little and dependent she was on me and how "grown" up and independent she is today.

Maegen still remains the comedian of the family. I know I have repeatedly said this...but that side of her personality just hasn't decided to change. At Rhaeden's swimming party last night, we all sang Happy Birthday to her and shall I say it..Mom embarrassed her !!! Rhaeden told her to "get use to it !" It was actually funny come from big brother. Like I embarrass my children on a daily basis or something...go figure ???
Maegen was the "hardest" of the three children to get here. She wasn't quite ready to enter this world. I guess I should have known then what I know today and that is: she likes to take her sweet time !! When she is ready to do something she will do it. No amount of bribing or coercion is necessary with her. She will do it on her own time frame.

Maegen is just soo happy and easy going..very few things "bother" her. That is a good trait to have. Although..here lately, she has developed "my stomach hurts" thing that most children go through at some point. She has been sleeping with a bucket beside her at night in case she gets sick. One night I just gave her some Ibuprofen (ya know the miracle drug) and all of a sudden...NO MORE TUMMY ACHE !!! Amazing how fast it worked !!!

Maegen also LOVES the camera !!! She is always getting the camera and taking pictures. Most of the time it is of herself !! One night I caught her in the living room and the camera sitting on the bookcase and she was dancing in front of the camera. It was quite funny !!! She is a HAM in front of the camera. Always Posing !!!

SUMMER ???

Can you believe it is already the middle of June ?? Where is the summer going ??

We officially ended the baseball season last night and had the awards ceremony. Rhaden's team, the Cardinals, finished in 2nd place. We started the season out really good at 6-0 and then the last half of the season the kids just kinda fell to pieces finishing at 7-5. It wasn't the season we were looking for but it was good none the less. Rhaeden was awarded the Sportsmanship trophy for his team. I am sooo proud of him for that. I told him that was a great accomplishment and that he should be very proud of himself !!!

D'Nae is playing in the Summer basketball league at Snyder again this year. She plays 3 games a night each Tuesday for the month of June. I haven't gotten to see any of the games yet this year because of baseball. I just haven't figured out how to be in two places 50 miles apart at the same time. If anyone can help with that, please let me know !!! ha ha They are from what I have heard doing really well. They have beaten at least two 3A schools. That is just amazing !!! Here is a picture that a friend took and I stole off of her blog..thanks Traci.

Hopefully I will be able to attend the games next week and get a few more pictures. I was really hoping to go tonight BUT again something has come up....a swimming party !!! Of course the two younger ones want to attend the swimming party, so I guess you know where Mom will be...You're right...the swimming party !!!

Maegen...ahhh Maegen...she has just been going to Daycare most of the time during the day and just following me wherever I may end up at night. BUT...in case you didn't realize tomorrow is HER day !!! BTW..she doesn't let ANYONE forget that either !!! ha ha She will be 7 years old !! Can you believe it ?? I have ordered cup cakes and will pick them up at lunch and take them to daycare so that she can have a little "party" with her friends at snack time...shhh...she doesn't know that. I am going to surprise her !!!

FIELD DAY 2009

Friday was the last day of school. They had their annual Field Day in the afternoon because they had to attend school all day. Let me tell you...IT WAS HOT !!!! The kids were exhausted. I don't care if they have to go to school all day next year...the field day NEEDS to be in the morning !!! After the field day the kids had some nice cold watermelon. It was really good !!!
