HAPPY BIRTHDAY D'NAE

As I sit here at work I remember back 17 years...at this point in time I was laying in the labor and delivery room waiting to meet my oldest child. She was and still is a stubborn child...ya see, I actually went into the hospital on a Monday morning but she decided she wasn't ready to come into this world until Tuesday afternoon. She has a mind of her own...which by the way she doesn't mind sharing it with you !!!

She has been such a joy to have in my life. I believe with all my heart that she has made my life better. I know I get mad at her and she thinks that I am just evil and cruel sometimes (isn't that the life of a parent) but I can't imagine not having her in my life.

Parenthood is the most rewarding thing in the world. I am truly blessed to be a parent times three !!! It is a most amazing blessing a person can have in their life. Through all the heart ache and pain, the joy of being a mom so outweighs the life struggles of everyday.

D'Nae Nicholle...thank you for being my daughter !!! I LOVE YOU with all my heart !! You have been such a blessing to me.

Football Weekend

I haven't updated since we had all the rain on the 11th and 12th. We had over 8 inches of rain and the road between Post and Gail was closed so my kids didn't "get" to go to school on Friday the 12th. The football game was moved from Friday evening to Saturday afternoon.

So Friday I went over to the Pep Rally since it was the first one for D'Nae this year. During the pep rally Maegen got on the floor and did two cheers with about 10 other girls. I was shocked !! Niether of my girls told me...Luckily I had taken my camera !! Next time they will have to make sure that I am informed of these things. The Coyotes won the game Friday night and they are now 3-0 on the year. This week is homecoming so we have activities everyday this week.

Maegen is going to be one confused little girl. On Friday she cheers for the Borden County Coyotes and on Saturday morning she cheers for her brother and the Post Antelopes. I keep expecting to hear her say "two bits, four bits, six bits a dollar, all for the Coyotes stand up and holler." I haven't heard it yet...but I bet it will happen..just a matter of WHEN !! ha ha

Saturday was Rhaeden's football game. They played a good game and came out on top 34-0. They are now 3-0 since last Saturday's game was a rain-out and the other team didn't want to reschedule--they forfeited. The boys really would have rather played the game...but I guess you take a win anyway you can !!!

Below: If you will look close..the coaches are out running the kids after the game !! They do this after every game !!

Quick update on family: We celebrated Toni's birthday with a cook-out at their house on Saturday evening. Jeremy cooked pork chops and they were delicious !!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TONI !!! LaShae went this morning for a sonogram of her gall bladder and a scope. She is currently finished with the sonogram and is in doing the scope. Mom said she would call me later when/if they hear the results today.

Maegen Wears Glasses ????

Just a quick story about Maegen. I just received an e-mail from her teacher that said she was wearing glasses to school this morning and that the Coach was concerned about her wearing them during P. E. The teacher also wanted to know if she wore them all day or just for reading. Ok..Maegen doesn't wear glasses...yet. I am not exactly sure what she is wearing at school but she is wearing someone's glasses as her own !!! I am thinking it is a pair of big black rimmed glasses that D'Nae got from LaShae to wear for looks...not prescription. Never a dull moment !!!

I am thinking this is the pair of glasses that she has on. Now...imagine this pair of big black rimmed glasses on Maegen..a 6 year old !!!! Too Funny !!!

Pee-Wee Football

Rhaeden had his first football game on Saturday afternoon. They won 26-8 and this week we travel to Ralls. The kids have been using "practice" jerseys and Saturday they received their "game" jersey's. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal, but...they changed their numbers !!! I kind of learned most of the kids during practice these past couple of weeks and then they go and change all the numbers on me !! Luckily, Maegen had taken her purse to the game and had some paper and a pen in it so I wrote all the kids names down with their "New" numbers. Today, I will probably be just as lost and confused as ever as we swith back to our "Practice" jersey's. Considering this was his first football game ever in full pads..Rhaeden did a good job !!! He made a couple of tackles. He plays on the kick-offs, Kick-off Returns, and on Defense. I will tell you that he was just a little nervous about playing in his first game Saturday. I am so proud of all of the kids. They did a wonderful job !!! Before I put up some pictures...Rhaeden is # 90.

Just a little "out sized"

On left: Getting some instruction.

On Right: Trying to get to the ball.

I have to throw in the picture of LaShae and Maegen !!
